Second round match at the ATP World Tour event in Munich between local favourite Philipp Kohlschreiber and Ernests Gulbis from Latvia. On paper this could be a high quality match as both are well capable of showing some great tennis and shotmaking. Ernests Gulbis is a real tennis talent and could be well among the best players if he would have his mind on tennis court and be ready to work hard in training sessions. Only a few times in tennis season he shows his desire to achieve some solid results and then is producing an excellent tennis as he has great serve and powerful groundstrokes. Philipp Kohlschreiber is probably also a talent that wasn´t fully fulfilled as he surely could achieve much more in his tennis career and be ranked well inside the Top20. Kohlschreiber won the title in Munich in 2007 but has also recorded surprising losses to Cilic, Baghdatis and Stepanek since then. This match is really all about Ernests Gulbis, if he shows some concentrated performance and keeps the number of unforced errors on a reasonable level that he can easily win the game as the courts should really suit him, if he continues his form from last months then he has only a small chance against more consistent Kohlschreiber. We believe that we will see the "good" Gulbis today and therefore take this risky tennis pick.
